# WETHGateway

The `WETHGateway` is a utility contract to allow users to interact with the AlchemistV2 using raw ETH (or another, similar base-layer token). Because the AlchemistV2 can only use ERC20 tokens, the WETHGateway is needed to transform ETH into and out of WETH. This removes the need for a separate transaction to wrap or unwrap ETH, providing for a seamless user experience.
